The Pure Rage/Impatience Racing team first started out with the first of the two cars in 1997 when the '69 Impatience Chevy Nova was first brought up to New England Dragway for the first runs down the track and it's enrollment into the points program. After the end of the 1998 season the Pure Rage '70 Chevelle was bought and was in really bad shape when purchased. The reconstruction of the car would start right away. In the 1999 season The Impatience Nova driven by Joe Henderson got his first of 3 wins that year and nearly won the MOD E.T. champiomship wich was very close all the way through the first 10 points positions. The 1998 Season was also the first season the IHRA had gained N.E.D as an official track and held the North American Nationals wich was and is a great event every year. 1998 was also the first year for the Impatience race team to qualify and go to the World Bracket Finals as part of team New England in Ohio at Norwalk Raceway Park. In the 2000 season Joe Henderson and his Imaptience Nova picked up another win and finished 9th in the MOD E.T. points series. In the 2001 Season the Pure Rage Chevelle was finally finished in its restoration and made it's first track apperance driven by Joey Henderson and was enrolled in the STREET E.T. points series where it finished 24th in the points standings. 2001 was also the first year for Joey Henderson to race at the World Bracket Finals as part of team NE in Norwalk Ohio as the high school E.T. Rep. In 2002 the Pure Rage/Impatience Racing team became a three car team with the introduction of the Smoke Screen '80 Malibu wich was driven by Chris Shumski who finished in the top ten in points in the STREET E.T. points series and whent to the World bracket Finals in Norwalk Ohio as part of team N.E. In 2002 the Pure Rage Chevelle driven by Joey Henderson finished just outside the top ten and also finished 12 spots higher in the points searies then the year before and also whent to the World Bracket Finals in Norwalk Ohio as a member of team N.E. In 2002 The Impatience Nova driven by Joe Henderson raced at 2 tracks in the points program which where N.E.D and Oxford Plains in Main and picked up 3 wins at Oxford and 1 win at New England and also whent to the World Bracket Finals in Norwalk Ohio as a member of team N.E. In 2003 the Pure Rage/Impatience racing team became a 4 car team, with Joey Henderson in the Pure Rage '70 Chevelle, Joe Henderson in the Impatience '69 Nova, Doug Souza in the '80 Mad Malibu, and Chris Shumski in the '79 Gravy Train Solon. In 2003 Joey Henderson and the '70 Pure Rage chevelle got his first class win in STREET E.T. on 6/8/03, Joey also finished inside the top ten finishing 7th in points over all, and also went on to be a member for the third year in a row of team N.E. at the world bracket finnals in Norwalk Ohio. In 2003 Joe Henderson and the Impatience '69 Nova had hard luck but also went onto the world bracket finnals in Norwalk Ohio for the 6th year in a row . In 2003 Doug Souza raced the Pure Rage Racing owned '80 Mad Malibu and also itroduced his new dragster at the North American Nationals at New England Dragway. In 2003 Chris Shumski raced his first self owned car the Gravy Train '79 Solon. In 2004 the Pure Rage '70 Chevelle driven by Joey Henderson got a second event class win on 7/18/04, He also ran his fastest E.T. ever at a 14.1 in the 1/4, he also finished in the top ten for the second year in a row finishing 9th overall in the points searies, and also went on to race in the world bracket finnals in Norwalk Ohio for the 4th year in a row. In '04 The '69 Impatience Nova Driven by Joe Henderson ran a best E.T. of 10.7 in the 1/4 and brought the front wheels off the ground for the first time, he also had the car back halfed and tubbed to fully race out the car, he also wnet onto race in the bracket finnals for the 7th year in a row. The '80 Mad Malibu came in late to the '04 season as a relief car for fellow racer Lee Vartainian as he had some bad luck with his normal race car. The '79 Gravy Train Solon made a part time apperence in the '04 season which was ended when the now late '79 Solon was crushed by a 10 wheele dump truck, luckly no one was hurt and so we say So long brave Solon we will miss you. The '04 season was a 2 car team full time and a 4 car team part time for Pure Rage/Impatience Racing.
